Jay Swaminarayan! I came to Gokuldham through the work away scheme and have been teaching here for 6 Weeks. It has been a fantastic experience.
Everyone has been so welcoming and the campus is a very beautiful place to stay. The food has been amazing, and we’ve had some great trips out in the local aras, to Pariej, Khambaht, Tarapur and Anand. Thank you to Milind sir and Prafulbhai and of Course Pravinbhai for Facilitating these trips.
The Students are all so friendly, and keen to practise their English. I have mainly taught the boys from Manipur in the Two Rishikumar Classes. I am helping them to improve their English and also Teaching Computers when I’M not teaching I have enjoys spending time in the Library- sorting Books and heaving the students read. All the boys have been a pleasure to teach and their English is improving fast!

During my stay I was fortunate to join a school trip to Udaipur which was great fun. We visited temples, lakes and museums and also Mount Abu, a wonderful experience. We also took the Rishikumar boys to Pariej, a local Wettands, for the day for some bird watching and nature study.
As well as working with the students live learnt a lot about the Swaminarayan faith and enjoyed joining the evening aarti.
Thank you so much to everyone at Gokuldham for making my stay so enjoyable – the teachers, cook and cleaners, the other volunteers, Urvashiben and the students.
