Hello, Fellow volunteer. I’m from Mumbai, India. The opportunity to volunteer here was presented to me by Mita Ma’am, whom I’m very grateful to. I was expected primarily to be with the Rushi Kumar children. I taught them Music, English and some Chess. Given their traumatic past. I hope I added some laughs and cheers to their lives.
I also spent a lot of time with the regular children playing badminton and football with them in the evenings helping them out with school work at their study hours, and enjoying movie nights with them. I will terribly miss being around them.
Milind sir and Pravin sir, in particular, took care of everything I ever needed. In fact, every single member of the Gokuldham team made me feel right at home. I can’t thank them enough.
Three weeks just flew by. I hope to be back someday.
