Yagnashala (Place for conducting rituals)
।। अयं यज्ञो विश्वस्य भुवनस्य नाभि : ।। (अथर्ववेद)
The Yagnashala at Gokuldham Nar is uniquely constructed in the form of an octagon, a sacred shape symbolizing universal peace and the welfare of the cosmos. Its perimeter is adorned with 57 intricately carved elephants, symbolizing strength and wisdom, while two rows of four graceful swans welcome devotees as they ascend the steps to enter.
The architectural style of the Yagnashala harmoniously reflects the design of the main temple, maintaining a unified spiritual ambiance. At its heart lies the sacred Yagna Kunda, where a ritual fire is kindled daily. For at least an hour each day, offerings of traditional sweets and sacred herbal woods are made to Lord Vishnu and Lord Hanuman, invoking prosperity, peace, and divine blessings for the world.
Inside, eight finely crafted sculptures of revered spiritual leaders are positioned at each internal corner of the octagon, solemnly overseeing the Yagna. On the external side of each corner, their gaze turns outward—symbolically extending blessings to all directions of the universe.
