Jackets and Blankets Distribution
Millions across our country face the harsh reality of living without the comfort and safety of a roof over their heads. Forced to sleep in inhumane conditions—on pavements, roadsides, railway stations, and other open spaces—these individuals are exposed to countless dangers, none more threatening than enduring the bitter cold of winter nights without any warmth or protection.
At Gokuldham Nar, we view this as a profound injustice and take compassionate action to support the homeless, destitute, and those in need. Every winter, we distribute high-quality winter jackets across local villages, with a particular focus on children with special needs, orphans, the visually impaired, and elderly individuals in senior citizen homes. Our goal is to provide long-term warmth and comfort to those unable to afford such essential clothing.
Our efforts extend to children with special needs, orphans, the elderly in senior citizen homes, and others who are unable to afford proper winter clothing. This initiative not only offers physical comfort but also restores a sense of dignity and hope to those in need.
In addition, each winter, our dedicated team of Saints, staff, and volunteers load vehicles with specially purchased warm blankets from Ludhiana and venture out after midnight. Traveling to highways, bus stops, and railway stations, they seek out individuals in need, discreetly covering them with blankets while they sleep, spreading warmth and compassion deep into the night, all while uttering “Jai Swaminarayan.”
