The devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been felt worldwide, claiming the lives of over four million people and leaving countless others infected, hospitalized, or grieving. In India, the virus’s effects have been particularly severe, exacerbated by the country’s size, dense population, and limited healthcare infrastructure. Among the hardest hit have been marginalized communities—daily wage earners, the homeless, slum dwellers, and migrant workers—many of whom struggled to afford basic necessities like food and hygiene supplies.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Gokuldham Nar swiftly launched its Covid-19 Relief Service to provide critical support to individuals and communities in need during this unprecedented crisis.

During the prolonged COVID-19 crisis, Gokuldham Nar has been unwavering in its efforts to support those in need, providing critical aid to local communities and beyond. Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to deliver the following:
  • Food and Hygiene Support: Distributed essential food packets to 2,500 marginalized families, which included groceries, grains, hygiene kits, masks, and sanitizers. We also offered practical advice on precautionary and preventive measures at their doorsteps.
  • Grocery and Fruit Distribution: Delivered 6,000 grocery packets and 200 fruit packets to families in need.
  • Protective Gear: Provided 52,000 protective face masks and 200 PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) kits to medical and front-line workers.
  • Monetary Contributions: Donated Rs 2,11,000 to the PM Covid-19 Relief Fund and Rs 27,00,000 to 35 charitable institutes for COVID-19 and Cyclone Tauktae relief efforts.
  • Oxygen Concentrators: Imported 130 oxygen concentrators from the USA, which were immediately put to use in hospitals and care centers to combat the oxygen shortage.
  • Temporary Isolation Center: Converted our large hostel facilities into a temporary isolation and bed rest center for COVID-19 patients during the statewide bed shortage. We provided for their food and personal needs during their stay.
  • Cyclone Tauktae Relief: Supplied food to evacuees staying in temporary shelters during Cyclone Tauktae.

Gokuldham Nar remains committed to serving all sections of society and standing at the forefront during times of crisis, offering compassion, care, and unwavering support.
