Many divorced and widowed women from disadvantaged sections of society face severe poverty and economic struggles due to a lack of income and support. Without access to education, skills, or training, these women often find themselves trapped in a cycle of poverty and marginalization. The pressure of such destitution forces many vulnerable women into unethical or regrettable practices just to survive.
At Gokuldham, we recognize the hardships and vulnerability these women face, and have implemented practical steps to empower them. As part of our self-help initiative, we have distributed high-quality electrical sewing machines to over 336 women, enabling them to generate sustainable income by sewing clothes, bags, and handicrafts—either for personal use or for larger business enterprises. This initiative not only helps them earn a living but also rebuilds their self-confidence and restores their dignity within the community.
